Vulnerability Description	An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Microsoft Windows. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected system.

Protection Overview

This protection detects attempts to exploit this vulnerability.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, click on Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

Security Gateway R81 / R80 / R77 / R75

In the IPS tab, click Protections and find the Microsoft Windows Installer Elevation of Privilege (CVE-2022-30147) protection using the Search tool and Edit the protection's settings.
Install policy on all Security Gateways.

This protection's log will contain the following information:

Attack Name: Content Protection Violation.
Attack Information: Microsoft Windows Installer Elevation of Privilege (CVE-2022-30147)

Hallo,

ich hab folgendes Problem:

Bei Installation der Microsoft XML Basisdienste MSXML4.0 (SP2) (MSI-Paket) auf unseren SBS2003 erscheint folgende Fehlermeldung: "Der Systemadministrator hat Richtlinien erlassen, um diese Installation zu verhindern"

Auf dem Server bin ich Administrator, Domänenadministrator usw. - das ganze Programm halt :)

Ich bin dann nach der Lösung von der URL

vorgegangen, jedoch brachte dies keine Lösung. Auch habe ich die Richtlinien für Softwareeinschränkungen geprüft und dementsprechend abgeändert. In den Gruppenrichtlinien habe ich beim Windows Installer "Immer mit erhöhten Rechten installieren" aktiviert.

Fällt euch evtl. noch dazu was ein?!?

Bei der Installation von VMWare auf einem WIN2003SBS kommt folgender Fehler:
"Der Systemadministrator hat Richtlinien erlassen, die diese Installation verhindern"
Installation wird abgebrochen.
Nach Recherche meinerseits weiß ich grad nicht mehr weiter.

Folgende Punkte habe ich abgeklärt.
Es sind keine GPO Richtlinien aktiv, die das verhindern soll.
In der Registry habe ich bei HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products die Werte geprüft. Nichts erkennbares von VM.
Der Dienst Windows Installer ist auch manuell aktiv.
Adminrechte zur Installation habe ich natürlich auch.

Vieleicht weiß ja jemand was.
