The National Navy SEAL Museum is the only museum dedicated solely to preserving the history of the United States Navy SEALs and their predecessors. Located in Fort Pierce, Florida, the Museum resides on the training grounds of the original Navy combat divers, the Frogmen.

Built to honor the men who served with fortitude and dedication, the Navy SEAL Museum first opened its doors on Veterans Day in 1985. From humble beginnings, the facility has experienced tremendous growth, achieving national stature in 2007.

The main objective of the Museum remains the promotion of public education by providing the opportunity to explore the history of the United States Navy SEALs through interactive exhibits, while honoring the fallen at the Navy SEAL Memorial and caring for those warriors’ families through the Trident House Charities Program.

“I love this place. I’ve never served my country in the military, but this museum made me feel how difficult it must be to do so. They showcase REAL stuff from wars, even a book about the Frogmen before they were called Navy SEALs. There are videos, interactive displays, and a real Blackhawk that has a bio to tell you the incredible actions it’s been through. You can sit in it! This place is fantastic!!! 6 stars.” – Ann J.

“Totally gives you pause what it means to be an American. Everything inside the museum is the real deal. The captain Phillips Rescue Boat was crazy! The real Blackhawk, machine guns, and interactive displays were all very cool to see. Groupon deal made entry budget- friendly. I’d even pay full price to go. They have an obstacle course you can try on the outside, so wear sneakers.” – Huntz S.

“The National Navy SEAL Museum there on the beach in Fort Pierce, Florida is a must see if you were a tourist in the area with a mind to honor those who have served our country! I have visited the Museum on two occasions–once alone and once with my sons; we enjoyed learning many things about the formation of the SEALs and the purposes they serve during war. It is a great tribute to those service members who have fallen, as well as those who currently serve!” – Justin W.

“Our kids (5 and 8) loved the obstacle course. Both the facilities and obstacle course are top notch. This is–by far–the coolest military museum we’ve ever been to. We all learned a lot and had a great time. We brought a picnic lunch and ate at the covered picnic tables right outside the Museum fence. There’s a playground and beach access in the same parking lot. Parking is free. Thanks especially to Andy Brady, for answering our questions and making us feel welcome.” – Melissa B.

“You can’t miss it driving on A1A, and you should stop to take a look. Incredible history of some of America’s bravest. Even if you’re not a military history buff you will find something here that amazes or takes your breath away.” – Peter R.

“A fun museum! I loved that all the displays were authentic and actually used in battle or trainings at one point or another. There were several boats, a helicopter, and an obstacle course that the kids could get in or play on. The kids really enjoyed the videos inside and I loved reading the displays. I learned a lot about the SEALs and how they relate to Fort Pierce. Definitely worth visiting. Even the staff went above and beyond. One of the staff members taught my kids how to tie knots and gave them a Navy SEAL Museum pen when they successfully completed the task. We spent about two hours or so here in all. There’s a cool little gift shop off the front with lots of Navy SEAL T-shirts, coins, stickers, patches, ornaments, etc. A great visit for elementary age and up.”– Rachel S.

“Great museum. Well laid out. Lots of things for kids to do. Historical 2 hours movie was amazing.” – Marty T.

“If you like military history or just the Navy, then this is an awesome place to visit. Went about 10 years ago and loved it. Went Saturday and it’s been renovated since we last were there and it is even better. Definitely worth the trip.” – Michelle G.

“Very interesting, lots of history. Great place to bring kids and learn about the SEALS. Good for pictures with the boats and gear. Right at a beautiful beach, perfect for a cool walk in the evening. A must see.” – John S.

“This place is an amazing must see. Too many heroes too mention. It’s hands down the best thing to see in this area.” – Jeff C.

“Military buff? Or do you like history about Navy SEALs? Well, stop reading this and go check them out! A ‘must go’ for any veterans, enthusiast, or just for fun. This place is amazing. The birthplace of the Navy SEAL.” ¬– Casual P.
